Human Development magazine is published for people involved in the work of
fostering the growth of others. This includes persons involved in religious
leadership and formation, spiritual direction, pastoral care and education,
including parents, teachers, coaches, students or others interested in the
development of the whole person.
Published quarterly by Regis University in Denver, Human Development magazine
was founded in 1980 by Reverend James J. Gill, S.J., M.D. who was
Editor-in-Chief until his death in July, 2003.
The Editor-in-Chief is now Reverend William A. Barry, S.J., Ph.D. who is a
Catholic priest, author, spiritual director, and lecturer. Formerly on faculty
at Weston Jesuit School of Theology, he is also co-director of the Jesuit
tertianship program in the New England Province of the Society of Jesus. He
lives at Campion Center in Weston, Massachusetts.
